There's not much left to see of the fortress cemetery, just the outer walls, two or three graves and this little house. The plants and overall system are still there/recognizable; a new path is currently being built there. Romantic charm of the derelict.

A very interesting and historical place that can be visited freely with respect, decency and caution. The old fortress cemetery was abandoned in 1945 and the preserved tombs were brought to the fortress in the 1970s.

The cemetery at Königstein Fortress is a historic garrison cemetery (1695-1945). Some of its gravestones are now on display in the underground barracks, offering a glimpse into the lives of the fortress's inhabitants. Located outside the fortress walls, some valuable gravestones have been rescued and restored since the 1970s and are now part of the fortress tour. Source: landratsamt-pirna.de
