"Wittenbergplatz is a square in the Schöneberg district of Berlin in the Tempelhof - Schöneberg district. It is part of the general train, a sequence of streets and squares that connects the Schöneberg and Kreuzberg districts. The rectangular square was created between 1889 and 1892 West-east direction from Tauentzienstraße - Kleiststraße. "

Right in the middle of the square is the striking cross-shaped entrance building to the Wittenbergplatz underground station, between the lanes connecting Tauentzienstrasse and Kleiststrasse. On the south-west corner of the square is the Kaufhaus des Westens (KaDeWe), which is well-known beyond Berlin.
