This mill is probably still in operation from time to time for display purposes, but it is also a very interesting place in other respects and if you look closely you will discover the lovingly prepared drinks for hikers or cyclists on the Blockline looking for refreshment. The Illingmühle is located in the Gimmlitztal. It was built in 1791 as a board mill. For this purpose, an artificial moat was created by the Gimmlitz. From 1862 to 1989, the mill was owned by the Illing family, from which it takes its name. The Illingmühle is one of the few functioning water mills and is today a technical monument. This insider tip is highly recommended and open to visitors around the clock. The nice operator is happy to provide information about the mill.
