The chapel "Our Lady of Leiden" is a cruciform chapel in Afferden municipality of Berge. The chapel is near the junction of Kapelstraat and Langstraat west of the cemetery. About 180 meters west is the Saint Cosmas and Damian Church. The small chapel is dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows.

The center of Afferden boasts several fascinating buildings. Since there's a ferry crossing the Meuse River nearby, you can always take a look.
This chapel is quite interesting. It began as a small chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows, built in 1612 by order of a certain Father Jan van Goch. In the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, it became a place of pilgrimage, attracting many people from North Brabant, on the other side of the Meuse River, where Catholicism was then prohibited.
