It is a rectangular building that was used as a workshop where the tools used by the stonemasons were repaired and sharpened (basically, remaking the punches and scarps that the hard stone had worn away). In this area there was a great activity of stone extraction. Now the building is used as a shelter and is always open. It is necessary to request permission from the ADF and the local police to use the fireplace and to be able to eat or sleep when going with a gang.

The Refugi de la Ferrería del Vedat is a hotel-refugio located 299 meters above sea level, and located in the heart of the Serralada Litoral Park. The refuge is managed by the municipality and before its use you must contact the local Police of Teià. In general, it is in good condition and the views are beautiful.
