The beach section shown here shows the Budersand cliff. The "Budersand Kliff" is actually a dune on the southeast coast of the village Hörnum. The dune is 32 meters high, the highest point on the southern spit of the island and second highest dune on Sylt. Unfortunately, the sea gets more and more areas of the sand dune from year to year during the storm surges, which is less and less.

The Hörnum Spit is hardly known and is accordingly quiet - and both the peace and the dune landscape on the mudflat side surprised us. A good reason to stroll through this idyll a little more slowly and attentively.
