Yürüyüş

The patrol road is part of the inner-German border fortifications on the side of the former GDR. It was constructed from uniform, highly weather-resistant perforated concrete slabs, which are largely overgrown with vegetation and thus firmly bonded to the ground. Within the death strip of the Berlin Wall, the patrol road was paved with asphalt.

Yürüyüş

One of the most beautiful stretches of the former German border is located above Volkerode. Nature has brought back a lot here and especially in the spring time you can find many flowers and plants, including rare ones.
