The moated castle with castle and moat, which still exists today, was built in the middle of the 13th century. The overbuilt foundations give an idea of the dimensions of the complex, which has been redesigned many times. The old manor house (occupied since 1591) with its multi-storey half-timbered building on a field stone substructure has been preserved to this day. In addition, enchanted towers as well as parts of the moat and the wall.
Today the estate is used as a holiday resort, behind the castle there is a game reserve (deer garden).
