The Bostalsee is a reservoir in the municipality of Nohfelden in northern Saarland, which was accumulated in 1979. The dam has a length of 500 meters. The lake is almost exclusively for recreational use. The dammed water power has been used to a limited extent since the end of 2013 to generate electricity, especially in order to illuminate the circular route around the lake during the winter months. The south-western part of the lake is designated as a nature reserve. There are two beach baths, a boat rental, petting zoo, bike rental, catering and much more.
