In the district of Mengede there are many historic buildings, as well as the interesting office building from 1904. Right next door is the Amtshauspark with green space and playground.

The Amtshauspark is right next to the Amtshaus in Dortmund-Mengede. Surrounded by greenery, the park offers a large lawn, benches, shade and a playground for the little ones that is always well attended when the weather is good. The park is very popular among the crowd of citizens. A kiosk for refreshments and an ice cream parlor are right next door.
