The old town of San Vicente de la Barquera is ideal for a trip back in time. Sometimes you can hear the bagpipes playing in the small streets. The old buildings are majestic and impressive. Next to the church, there is a viewpoint with a panoramic view of the sea and the mountains.

If you are in San Vicente de la Barquera, be sure to take a short detour up to the old town, because here you will suddenly be transported back in time. Bagpipes are played in the alleys, the old buildings are majestic, impressive. At the top of the church there is also a great vantage point and right next to it is a hostel for the night. My tip: go to the right of the hostel through the archway to the other side of the castle wall, from there you have the best view.
