The Anger is the central square of the Thuringian capital Erfurt, we can reach it via Bahnhofsstraße with the first view of the old post office. It has been lovingly restored. Events such as demos or the like also take place here, and street artists can be observed here. It's a low-traffic zone, but the tram crosses the square in different directions

The Anger is the central square of the Thuringian state capital of Erfurt. It is located in the southeast of the old town, between the cathedral and the main train station. The Anger is an elongated square, with the Anger 1 shopping center at its northeast end. The southwest end is marked by the Angerbrunnen fountain. The total length is approximately 500 meters, and the area (from the Angerbrunnen fountain to the Kaufmannskirche) is almost 20,000 square meters. While the northeastern part expands into a square, the southwestern section is a wide street converted into a pedestrian zone.
