The castle Oberlangenstadt was built only in the 19th century in English-Gothic style. Despite its young history, it is one of the most beautiful buildings in the district of Kronach. Not only because of its size, but also because of its architectural shape, Schloss Oberlangenstadt occupies an exceptional position among the castles of Upper Franconia. The castle is still inhabited by the von Künsberg family today.

In 2018, shooting for the children's film "Four magical sisters" with Katja Riemann and Justus von Dohnányi took place around Oberlangenstadt Castle.
A trip here is highly recommended.
