The Dreckmahnte is a diverse biotope, consisting of a swamp sedge, a reed bed and a wet meadow rich in herbaceous perennials. The area is 1.9 hectares and is located east of Duderstadt just before the Thuringian border. The sand water lowlands are fed by the streams Sandwasser and Brehme.

Yürüyüş

The largest population of fever clover for the district of Göttingen is on the biotope. More endangered species are the marsh marigold, the small valerian, the snake sedge and the beaked sedge. The maintenance work takes place once or twice a year in summer. In the core area, the area is mowed with a brushcutter. The clippings are then removed. Due to the intensive and regular maintenance by the biological protection community Göttingen (BSG), the dirt reminder is in good condition.
