Hardenberg Castle is a baroque former moated castle in the Neviges district of the city of Velbert. It is located in the valley of the Hardenberger Bach, just north of the center of Neviges, at the narrowest point of the stream valley, and dates back to a new foundation by the von Gevertshagen family at the end of the 15th century. It replaced the Hardenberg Castle, which had probably become dilapidated and whose remains can be found about 630 meters southwest of the castle.
