Very well preserved medieval village. Narrow streets, cobblestone pavement, half-timbered, city walls, towers located in idyllic vineyard landscape.

Riquewihr is definitely worth a visit. A medieval town that is fully developed touristy. You should definitely be aware of this when planning a visit to Riquewihr. Because early in the morning coaches stop at the city gates to let city leaders with their groups on the town.
Comparable with the Middle Franconian Rotenburg ob der Tauber, even Käthe Wohlfart has set up a base for her Christmas business here.
Nevertheless, one can feel the medieval flair here and enjoy the stay in one of the numerous Winstubs.

The special feature of this place is that the old town with its cityscape from the 16th century and the city wall is still completely preserved.
