The Titanic Belfast building is an impressive addition to Belfast's docks. Its facade is clad in 3,000 silver aluminium sheets, intricately folded into asymmetrical geometries to recreate the effect of reflections in water.

The huge structure houses nine galleries, a conference centre, accommodation and restaurants. You can also go on a Titanic Experience to learn more about its tragic fate.

The building opened on March 31, 2012 and attracted over 800,000 visitors in the first year. The attraction belongs to a non-profit foundation. The architects said that "we have created an architectural icon that captures the spirit of the shipyards, ships, water crystals, ice and the White Star Line logo. Its architectural shape intersects a skyline silhouette that was inspired by the very ships that were built on this sacred ground.

The Titanic Belfast Museum is a visitor attraction opened in 2012 dedicated to the memory of the passenger liner Titanic that sank in 1912. The museum is located on the premises of the ship's builder, Harland & Wolff, in the city's Titanic Quarter. It tells the story of Titanic, which sank after hitting an iceberg on her maiden voyage, and her sister ships Olympic and Britannic. The building covers an area of 12,000 square meters, with conference rooms as well as exhibition halls. The official opening of the tourist attraction was made by Queen Elizabeth II.
