The Ochsenbrunnen was opened in May 2003 as part of the urban redevelopment, which also included a redesign of the Rhens market square. The partially movable plastic, which is particularly popular with children, depicts a farmer driving an ox to the cattle trough. The fountain is supposed to remind of the cattle trough that had been at this place for a long time and was a place of communication for the citizens of Rhens. "
