Pradollano is the highest ski resort in the Sierra Nevada and the hub for services at the foot of the slopes, home to hotels, restaurants, and an après-ski atmosphere. Located at over 2,000 meters above sea level, it combines the beauty of a mountain village with everything the surrounding area has to offer.

When you reach Tejos you're almost there: The long road climb up to Veleta Peak peak is the highest you can bike on the Iberian Peninsula. It's a grueling and long-standing tradition among Spanish cyclists. In winter the last couple of kilometers to the summit are often snow-covered and even in summer their gravel surface deters some road bikers on their skinny tires. The views from this point are already fantastic, so getting the complete summit panorama may be worth to push on in summer, never mind the short stretch of gravel.

The climb to Sierra Nevada is a port with a long cycling tradition. The part of the national road to Pradollano is very stretched, but from that place to the Hoya de La Mora the altitude starts to be felt 2,500 m. Once we pass the barrier of the national park, everything becomes much more different due to the absence of vehicles and the lunar landscape. We continue the ascent to the highest point of the Peninsula Veleta Peak 3.340 m. The last kilometer and a half is dirt so the carters abstain.
