The Col des Champs is a 2087 meter high mountain pass in the French Alps that connects Colmars and Saint-Martin-d'Entraunes. The pass height also forms the border between the departments of Alpes-Maritimes and Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. Usually the pass road is open to traffic from May to October.

Fantastically beautiful landscape, little traffic on the D78 / D2 between the Var valley (Saint-Martin d'Entraunes) and the Verdon valley (Colmars).

The Col des Champs peaks at 2087m and is relatively unknown to cyclists and non-locals. From Colmars les Alpes, a climb of around 11 km awaits you and which can frighten many amateur cyclists with its average percentage of 7.5%. Apart from a small flat area at 1700m at the Ratery chalet and the final slight descent, the ascent will very rarely go below 7% with sections exceeding 10%.
