The Kalser Tauernhaus, built from stone, is beautifully situated at 1,754 metres and surrounded by flowery mountain meadows. Here you can enjoy a clear view of the glaciers and peaks of the Glockner group. There are 40 beds. And it is not too far to the Dorfer See.

Nice rustic hut. Food is recommended. Is suitable to recharge your batteries and to hike on to the Dorfer See.

the stone building is an ideal destination for a day trip to the Dorfertal. The landscape is extremely attractive. Excellent cuisine at moderate prices. Further routes to the Dorfersee 1935m and Rudolfshütte 2311m or via the Silesia Höhenweg to the Sudetendeutschen Hütte 2656m. A transition to the Stüdlhütte 2802m in the Glockner area is also possible from the Dorfertal via the Teischnitztal.
