A short trail that is open around the clock. There are plenty of animals to see, from birds to colorful and diverse species of butterflies to the alligators who should be given extra care and attention. This Everglades Trail crosses the promenade of Taylor Slough. Alligators are able to build a very fast pace at lightning speed, so you should not get too close to them even if they give the impression they are sleeping.

Great place! In hardly any other place in South Florida I have been able to discover so many different animal species in the smallest space and observe them at the shortest distance - without binoculars! Like in a zoo without an enclosure. If you only make a detour to the Glades on a round trip, you have to take your time.
