You won't find such an old half-timbered chapel anywhere else in northwest Germany. The Laurentiuskapelle in Nammen has stood here since 1350, but it was renovated in the 17th and 19th centuries. Nevertheless, it is an absolute gem and the local chapel association takes care of its preservation.

A predecessor chapel had stood at this point since about 1350. The small half-timbered hall on a quarry stone base was built in 1523 after a dendrochronological study. It is the oldest half-timbered chapel in north-west Germany. The choir is closed on three sides. The west gable protrudes, the cleats are profiled. The ridge turret was probably added in the 17th century. The building was renovated several times after being damaged by fire in the late 17th century and in the 19th century. The bell was cast in 1654.
