    The remnants of the Gaugrafenburg Bretten you can recognize here still good. The castle was probably built by the Kraichgaugrafen in the 11th century. From the former castle complex are still preserved the stump of the keep and ramparts. From up here you also have a nice view of Bretten.

    The covered viewing point with a rest area is located on the rubble that was created when the crescent-shaped moat was dug. You have to read an information board with the history up to Roman times and a floor plan of the site! This makes it a place with an exciting history.
    Only a few foundation walls and the moat of the castle itself can be seen.
