Prepared by humans and perfected by nature. The new biotope Flüthewehr has been created on the south side of the Kiessee. On a large area behind the Flüthewehr, nature is largely left to its own devices. Nature lovers and those seeking relaxation can and should go to observation posts there.

Many Göttinger, straight dog owners, use the dragon meadow and the nearby Flüthewehr as "Gassirunde". In summer, the shallow shore of the line is often used for cooling as a "dog bathing establishment".
