Los Brecitos can be used as a starting or ending point for a hike through the caldera. The viewpoint can be reached via a narrow and very winding road.

The taxi still costs €51, and they're already waiting there. With four passengers, you can split the price accordingly, so it's worth the wait. The climb without a taxi takes about 2.5 hours. I'm glad I took the taxi.

It's always worth going up here. The ascent is relatively steep and also very long. Please be careful down by the river bed, there is very deep gravel there. If it rains properly, the river bed cannot be crossed either. Don't underestimate the climb, it's quite long at the end ;) when you get to the parking lot, it's mostly in the shade and ideal for taking a deep breath.
