Batenburg'un küçük kasabasında, harika, eski bir Batenburg kalesi harabesi yükseliyor. Etrafındaki hendek, harabeyi daha da görkemli gösteriyor. Gerçek bir vurgu!

Batenburg Castle was once one of the most important and oldest castles in Gelderland. According to tradition, a former stone above the entrance gate should indicate that Batenburg Castle was built in 527 on the remains of a Roman temple. Near the castle was a well with medical, antipyretic water sold by the gatekeepers.
