In the Paulinenwald you will find the obelisk "Zum blaue Stein". It was erected in 1810 for surveying the Rhineland and is to commemorate the visits of Pauline Princess Borghese, the sister of Napoleon Bonaparte, who often went for a walk in the adjacent forest - so also the name Paulinenwäldchen. From up here you have a wide view of the city of Aachen.
