Majevica is a mountain in northeastern Bosnia and Herzegovina. In morphostructural terms, it is a horst - an anticlinorium that stretches in a northwest-southeast direction between Posavina in the north, Semberija in the northeast and east, the Sprečanska kotlina in the south, and the Ratiš mountain and the Tinjska kotlina in the west. It is 50 km long and up to 25 km wide. The highest peak, Stolice (916 m above sea level), is located in the extreme southeastern part of the mountain. According to most morphometric classifications, Majevica is considered a low mountain.

Majevica has an extraordinary potential for development, and at the same time represents one of the best examples of inter-municipal cooperation for the benefit of all. The mayors of five municipalities from the Majevica region: Čelića, Lopar, Sapna, Teočak and Ugljevik, with the support of the OSCE Mission to BiH, organized a conference on Majevica on Tuesday (28.11.2023) at which they presented the results so far and further plans in the sphere of tourism and development, as well as other joint initiatives aimed at improving services and the quality of life of the citizens of this area.
