From the high plateau of the church you have a beautiful view of Lake Murten and the surrounding area. Benches invite you to take a break.
It was built in 1481 on the site of a previous Catherine chapel and served as a church for the French-speaking members of the Murten parish. Today it is used by the parish for both German and French-language services. The Freiburg cantonal church also celebrates ordinations in it if only one pastor is consecrated as Verbi divini minister.
