The ponds in Börnicke Castle Park in their current form were created around the end of the 19th century. The entire pond area is an estimated 2.5 ha and consists of several interconnected sub-areas. Within the Eichbuste pond is an island that is connected to the rest of the palace grounds by two bridges, one to the north and one to the south. The Börnicke Castle Park with the ponds embedded in it is part of the Börnicker Feldmark FFH area.

Idyllic grounds and very quiet. You can only get here from the back via paths, as the short access that used to exist from the castle (closed private property) or the estate (with restaurant) is unfortunately no longer possible.
