Small museum, right on the street. With exhibits from the excavations in Hollingstedt. Very interesting and free, free entry.
Here you can learn a lot about the formerly great importance of Hollingstedt as a port city on the Treene, as well as about the trade relations in the Middle Ages and during the time of the Vikings.

The small museum can be opened with a push button during opening hours (photo). Here you can learn a lot about the finds at the "North Sea port of Haitabu and Schleswig" in the Middle Ages, shipbuilding and transport technology. There are also information boards on the same topic at the rest area opposite the church and on Lahmenstraat at the "Apfelschiff" organic fruit farm. There, a very successful transparent board offers a "view" of the old Viking houses in the current landscape.

A small museum showcasing the village's educational heritage. A historic schoolroom! The house, dating from 1876, is located just a few meters from Hollinghus. Open Saturdays or by appointment. A fascinating glimpse into village life during the Kaiser's reign. A classic, stately building constructed of yellow brick. The teacher's living room features a polyphonic record player. An entertaining stop. Admission is by donation, and coffee is available.
