It is a museum dedicated solely to the Figueres painter Salvador Dalí. In 2017 it was the third most visited museum in all of Spain, as it houses many of the works that the artist left in his will.
It is managed by the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation, thanks to which other works have been recovered, thus enriching the museum.

The Dalí Theater-Museum is a museum entirely dedicated to the painter Salvador Dalí, located in Plaza Gala-Salvador Dalí, number 5, in Figueras (Gerona province, Catalonia, Spain). According to The Art Newspaper, based on data provided by the museums themselves, the Dalí Theater-Museum was the third most visited museum in Spain in 2017, with 1 207 149 visitors, ranking 40th in its ranking of the 100 museums in art in the world most visited. [4] Due to its large influx of public and its commercial management, it is possibly the only Spanish museum that is entirely self-financed with its own income.
