The driveway to the deserted area can be reached via the former patrol road, along the green belt, coming from Kriwitz or Prezier. A very challenging route for cyclists. It is easier to hike this route. You will be compensated for the demanding route with the view over wide meadow areas and the voices of nature.

Jahrsau is one of the villages on the former inner-German border, which was finally abolished in 1970.
Even today you can find a circular route through the razed village, where you can still see the remains of the village today.
Through the remains of the wall you can still see where the buildings were located.
