The Tauberland Village Museum on Weikersheim's market square is located in a very large building, the former granary from the 16th century. Here the everyday objects of the rural population are shown in the largest collection of rural cultural assets in Tauberfranken. The museum has existed since 1972, the exhibits are mainly from the 18th and 19th centuries.

The “Kornbau” dates back to the 16th century, and the inventory – furniture, tools, clothing, complete workshops – dates mainly from the 18th and 19th centuries. Collector Kurt Meider rescued a number of items from barns and houses that were about to be demolished during the modernization of the 1950s.
