"In the footsteps of the red wood ant" is a picturesque hiking trail that leads directly along the border between Germany and the Czech Republic. The ants explain the nature of the Lusatian Mountains to you on the numerous information boards.

The border hiking trail, also known as the Ant Trail, is around 12.5 kilometers long and begins shortly before the Sohland/Sluknov border crossing and ends at the Steinigtwolmsdorf/Lobendava border crossing.
The border hiking trail is a German and Czech joint effort.
