Yürüyüş
The salt marshes of the Bodden coast should actually be called salt pastures, because without grazing they would not exist. Where many rare plant and animal species live today, dense reeds originally grew extensively. Only the grazing sheep and cattle keep it from reclaiming the salt marshes. Salt marshes are an ecologically valuable habitat in which extreme conditions prevail. Several times a year it floods the brackish water of the Bodden. Only very special plants can cope with the constantly changing water levels and the salt content.
