This monument stands in the inner courtyard of the keep. But since this is closed, I can't say what condition the monument is in.

Unfortunately, it was still closed for us in September. But the surroundings are still very beautiful and the Christ Church is definitely worth seeing. 🥰

The “Alte Feste” fortress was built between 1890 and 1902 by Gustav Tünschel and Gottlieb Redecker. It marks the laying of the foundation stone and the beginning of the city of Windhoek.
Today there is part of the National Museum of Namibia inside. The museum has been closed since 2014 and the equestrian monument has been moved to the inner courtyard. If you ask at the Independence Museum, the museum's entrance gates will be opened and you can at least go into the inner courtyard.
