It is worth the visit of the entire complex Mystras (12 € entrance fee). If you do not want to ascend from the very bottom to the castle, first visit the lower part of the complex (Main Gate) and then drive to the upper entrance (Fortress Gate) and visit the upper part of the complex. The ascent to the castle takes about 20 minutes from the upper entrance.
