The first mention of the building dates from 1358; the name 's grevenhuis indicates that it was possibly the residence of the counts of Loon, when they resided in Borgloon. The town hall was built between 1668 and 1680; the latter year is indicated by means of anchors. Restoration by P. Langerock in 1905 with modification of the arrangement of the ground floor Furniture and painting by the same architect.
