Here once stood the village Lenschow, which was demolished in the 70s. It was too close to the border to the single FRG.

In 1975 the village of Lenschow was pulled out and razed because of its proximity to the border. Only the transformer house and the border security systems remained.
The memorial stone and the information board remind us that such terrible events will not be forgotten.
