The former Klausheide estate can also be seen from the B70. On our tour we drove to the site once. The former estate looks a bit dilapidated today, but you can still see how it must have been in its heyday. Today the AWF (Arbeiterwohlfahrt) is located in parts of the building. However, the site is freely accessible.

The Klausheide Estate, originally Clausheide Estate, located in the Klausheide district near Nordhorn in the County of Bentheim, was founded in 1914 by the German industrialist couple Bertha and Gustav Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach with the aim of establishing a model agricultural estate. The estate was named after Claus von Bohlen und Halbach, the couple's third child, born in 1910. The buildings and grounds of the estate are listed as historical monuments.

The village of Klausheide was also built on the estate, which originally comprised approximately 15,000 acres (3,750 hectares).
