Morton Wood offers a delightful stretch of woodland walking beneath a bright green canopy and alongside the babbling brook of Dean Dike.
If you're lucky enough to be visiting in the spring months, you'll be afforded a beautiful display of blooming bluebells.

Very pretty bluebell woods on the first leg between between Boshaw Reservoir and Hepworth.

Morton Wood, nestled near Hepworth in the Holme Valley, is an enchanting woodland and gorge. The bluebells carpeted the grass when we visited in early May.
The woodland stretches along a brook, with footpaths that often criss‑cross the water via stepping‑stones or small wooden bridges, offering a sense of being deeply immersed in nature. But beware that the stones can get slippery when wet and the path is uneven. Make sure you wear shoes or boots with a good grip.
