Montélimar is a very pleasant town. It is good to stroll through the pedestrian streets of its old center. It is not only known for its famous nougat. The Château des Adhémar which is located to the northwest of the city is quite close and is worth a visit. The location of this city is privileged in the Rhone Valley. It is very well served both by road via the A7 motorway and the famous National 7, and by rail.

Montélimar, picturesquely situated on the Rhône Valley, is famous as the capital of nougat. The town grew in the Middle Ages around a 12th-century castle, which still dominates the cityscape today. Stroll through the charming old town with its arcades and cafés. A visit to the nougat factories offers sweet insights into this regional specialty.
