There is a lookout tower on the Lichtenberg (885 meters). You can climb another 32 meters via 208 steps. From the platform you have a fantastic view of the Traunstein, the Höllengebirge, the Attersee and the Dachstein. At this junction you have to turn to get to the tower.

If you prefer a culinary break: around 300 meters away is the small town of Lichteberg, where the cozy Berghof Danter invites you to stop.

What a view! At 36 meters, this is the highest observation tower in the Attergau region. After climbing 208 steps, the Salzkammergut region lies at your feet. Enjoy unobstructed views of the Traunstein Mountains, the Höllengebirge Mountains, Lake Attersee, the Dachstein Mountains, and much more.

Lookout tower on the Lichtenberg - almost 900 meters above sea level you can enjoy an exceptional view over the Höllengebirge. You have to have enjoyed this view yourself, I don't think it needs words, you have to experience it. This lookout tower is more than recommended, it is a huge highlight if you are in the area!
