In 1907, a central water supply in Tauchersreuth replaced the village wells that had previously provided water. These often dried up after relatively short periods of drought, so that the water supply was no longer sufficient, even for the cattle. A well 1 km from the village, which is still productive today, and an automatic water pump (ram) that only works with the flow pressure of the water were the guarantee for the success of the masterpiece at the beginning of the 20th century.
