The Palatinate Forest Knight Stone No. 215 lies at 209 m in the Wieslautertal. The stone serves as a point of orientation for the hiker. The Knight's Stone is maintained and kept in order by the Palatinate Forest Association.

In 1908, the PWV, under its founding chairman Karl Albrecht von Ritter (1836–1917), who significantly promoted the project, began to erect sandstone waymarks and place markers at notable locations in the Palatinate Forest. For this purpose, stone blocks were sometimes erected, and rocks or walls that were already on site were also used. In addition to the engraved text, the abbreviation PWV for the Palatinate Forest Association can be found on every knight stone - with exceptions. In 1912, the PWV general meeting decided to call the stone marks after Karl Albrecht von Ritter Rittersteine.

This is one of over 300 knight's stones of the Palatinate Forest Association.
It serves as a signpost: It shows the forest path up to the "Große Hasselskehl" (crossroads?) and "Drei Buchen" (= large crossroads; also with Ritterstein) and in the direction of Hinterweidenthal on the cycle path that leads along the Wieslauter here . It stands at a height of 209 m and was erected in 1978.

Unfortunately the rest bench broke off and fell over.
