Katzelsdorf Castle was built in the 12th century and was once owned by Countess Carolina von Lipona, Napoleon's sister. Since 1994 it has been owned by the municipality and is used as a service point, culture and events center.

Katzendorf Castle, sung about by the minstrel Ulrich von Liechtenstein, was built in the 12th century and owes its current form to the wolf Mathias Freiherr von Königsberg. The castle has changed hands countless times, including Countess Carolina of Lipona (Napoleon's sister), Marie Therese (Duchess of Angouleme, daughter of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette) and the Duchess of Bourbon-Este (wife of Count Chambord). The first castle was built in the 12th century. The castle got its present form in the 17th century, it was built as a moated castle with bastions on three corners.
During World War II it served as a horse hospital. In 1970 a private owner bought it who renovated it and sold it to the Katzenlsdorf community in 1993. They converted it into an event and seminar center, and it also houses a leased restaurant
