If you come into the city from the east, you pass the archway of Neuenstadt Castle.
The Neuenstadt open-air theater is also housed here. The area with the open-air stage is located in the moat of the Neuenstadt Renaissance castle.

The first tower, probably built in the 14th century, collapsed in 1689. The financially bled by the consequences of the Thirty Years and the French wars city was unable to cope with the reconstruction of the city tower on their own. With the help of several collections in various regional offices in Württemberg, the necessary money was collected. The completion of the city tower lasted until 1703.
