If you come into the city from the east, you pass the archway of Neuenstadt Castle.
The Neuenstadt open-air theater is also housed here. The area with the open-air stage is located in the moat of the Neuenstadt Renaissance castle.

The first tower, probably built in the 14th century, collapsed in 1689.
