In winter, the Selun is also a worthwhile destination with snowshoes, you can enjoy wonderful views and when you reach the top of the summit, the all-round panorama is simply gigantic and the view of Lake Walen is beautiful. The ascent with snowshoes is relatively tough, but otherwise not very difficult.

The Selun, the first of the seven Churfirsten, is absolutely recommendable, whether in winter with snowshoes or touring skis, or otherwise when there is no snow. Already on the ascent over the wide ridge of the Selun you have great views of the spear chain in the Alpstein over the Churfirsten and secret Churfirsten all the way to Lichtenstein. From the summit itself, a magnificent panorama opens up over the Alps and Lake Walen.
